Nisġa: Storja Kontemporanja

The Place

Space A, Spazju Kreattiv

10am - 12am

This exhibition seeks to define the cultural memory of Maltese 20th century art. It bridges the private experience of the individual within the collective domain as it attempts to define ways and means the past is shaped by our present. By bridging the persona of the Maltese artist, oftentimes caught between memory and history, the project also endeavours to explore how contemporary Maltese artists and creatives understand and value their counterparts when compared to preceeding generations. Through this exercise, they explore that which has remained constant as well as the stark differences.
